Interesting new paper in @wepsocial.bsky.social by Yoda&Atsumi showing that "the positive association between pro-redistribution and pro-immigration attitudes is weaker among earlier cohorts." In other words: the number of left-authoritarian voters decreases across generations.
Time dilation: the temporal structure of eliteโvoter incongruence on redistribution and immigration

One of the things I like about reviewing/grading papers is that I get to see how AI interpret my (or others') work. It is mostly funny, and I get to ask myself if I ever wrote anything like that (the answer is almost always no).
I don't know who needs to hear that, but it is ok not to have an opinion on some things.
Hi, I'm being made redundant by the University of Southampton at the end of this month. I'm desperately looking for work. I'll consider all offers but have particular skills in policy, strategy and research. I also have a consultancy service I offer. Please let me know if you hear of anything

I spent some time in Clacton this morning and came back with three thoughts regarding the elections: 1. Some of us forget the poll respondents are real people with real problems. The ppl of Clacton deserve a real representative that cares for them.
Happy to answer questions folks have!

Italy is changing its electoral system (again): the fifth reform since 1993. I wrote for @laderafrutal.bsky.social's Fruits & Votes blog on how the new bonus-adjusted system works, why the government wants it, and its political implications. fruitsandvotes.wordpress.com/2026/07/27/i...
Italy is changing its electoral system (again)
Nicknamed the โStabilicumโ by the right-wing coalition government that introduced it, this would be the fifth major electoral reform in Italy since 1993.

New publication out in @epsrjournal.bsky.social! We know young voters vote for different parties and hold different attitudes than older citizens. What we know less about: whether they also care differently about political issues. Using novel experimental survey data, I show: they do! ๐
