It's beautiful! Letting it cool, hopefully better than my old air fryer with pizzas
Who are these for? If they're for people to use as a last mile solution for transit… yer gonna need to actually put them at terminals, and have them available. If they're for the casual pick up & go… they should be available Induce the use outside the core, induce the incentive for infra.

Folks, if you’re not creating active public spaces, you’re not properly celebrating the full diversity of people, talents, interests, cultures, and subcultures that exist in your city.
Do you know about soccer tennis? Saturday nights are tournament night for the sport on the Granville Street Pedestrian Zone, & these teams are no joke! Nice way to cap off a great day on the people-street. Overheard one family talking about how they “can’t believe how great Granville Street is now.”
Almost every city in the world needs to urgently understand the need to get really good at planning and designing for shade. #UrbanHeat

People are arguing between road design and enforcement. In the Netherlands, not only do they have both, but they have a third tool: presumed liability. Drivers who hit a pedestrian or cyclist are presumed to be at fault until proven otherwise. This would be a powerful tool in our litigious society.
My response to people who say families with a full schedule of activities for their school age children can't get by without a car.

I often hear that it would be "too expensive" to add bicyclist detection to new vehicles in the US - where new vehicles already average ~$50k But here's a $8,350 kei car in Japan that pulls it off because New Car Assessment has made it effectively standard www.automotiveworld.com/topics/softw...

Just found out the MacDonald Bridge will be closed Sunday, which means Halifax peninsula traffic will be HELL, esp. as the Buskers will also be on the waterfront. Plan accordingly.
If there are Seven Wonders of the Cycling World, Beijing's Shangdi–Huilongguan Highway deserves a place on the list. The 5.4 km elevated expressway is designed so riders can cycle its entire length without stopping; cutting their commute to 30 minutes—halving the rush hour travel time by car/metro.

Horrified to update that this 6 year old died from his injuries.
This was just posted today.
A great example of why the "make eye contact with drivers and wear reflective clothing" advice for pedestrians and cyclists is bad. Nothing short of physically limiting where and how drivers can operate their vehicles will work.
