I have tried to post something about Stephen Miller like three times now but it seems to keep getting immediately deleted somehow? There's nothing remotely questionable about the content of the post. Is Bluesky just barfing on itself?
I live in Philly now, so there's so much (including my residential block, where an interior was used in an M Night Shyamalan movie), but a few blocks away from my childhood home -- that my daughter insisted on visiting on a trip home -- was this!

What's the most famous film/TV location near to you? For me it's probably On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The scenes shot in Bern are quite close by, and the Piz Gloria/Lauterbrunnen scenes are a short-ish drive (& cable car) away.
I've said it a million times and I will continue to say it: The entire Republican party should have been dissolved on January 7th of 2021. That should have been the END of the conversation. The fact that it wasn't might be the greatest failure of our elected representatives we see for decades.
This is interesting. DeSoto County, MS is 57% white. It went for Colom. It experienced a 26-point swing to the Democrats from 2024. 26!! Musk is building a massive data center complex there.
I'm curious about whether and how much opposition to data centers boosted Colom in Mississippi.
you'd think that given the election results, mainstream outlets might look for Black columnists from the south or Hispanic columnists from the southwest to explain the outcomes, rather than looking for the same conservative white men who they've been using as go tos for the past decade.
This kind of explaining what the government does at the minute level is something Dems need to be doing year round
WEATHER BALLOONS ARE BACK BABY!
Black voter turnout held at ~96% of 2024, the highest rate for any midterm in at least a decade, in the Deep South on Tuesday. If Scott Colom manages to win Mississippi's Senate seat, it wouldn't have been possible without sky-high engagement of Black voters www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-11-10...
I spent twelve years in Mississippi and that state could’ve turned blue years ago if not for how rigged the deck is down there. That the voters exist isn’t the shocking part, it’s that they’re breaking through generations of reinforced suppression.
If you think this election was just about gas/groceries, check this out 🧵👀
Tariffs and gas prices mattered. But a 20.2 median swing left across the South? This is a Callais backlash
Yay? (worry face -- stay healthy, Bruno)
BREAKING: BRUNO DAMIANI SELECTED BY DIEGO FORLÁN AND URUGUAY FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM'S NOVEMBER WINDOW. Damiani, 24, with a terrific second half of the season and earns a senior national team call-up as a result. #doop #mls #Uruguay 📸: Uruguay FA and @donrobson
Not a lawyer, but this sounds bad, it's bad, right?
my god, it looks like the person in Arkansas who administered the bar exam took bribes in exchange for altering scores from fails to passes (and there appears to be one example of an alteration in the opposite direction). details are thin, but she's been indicted: arcourts.gov/sites/defaul...
Marco Rubio oversaw the “deals” and payoffs and pressure to get tens of thousands of people expelled to countries they’ve never been to, including thousands of Cubans living in Miami. He is at least as responsible as Stephen Miller — maybe moreso — for the ongoing third-country removal disaster.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly preparing to resign from Donald Trump’s cabinet to launch a bid for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination. www.independent.co.uk/bulletin/new...
Beautiful. To the CU admin who called in the heavily armed cops, kicked kids off campus in the middle of the night, and then completely caved to the Trump Admin, eff you, please refrain from sending me alumni fundraising until you reboot. Congrats, Darializa!!
This is Columbia University’s district. To prevent protests, the campus is still locked down—huge piece of Manhattan closed to the public. Chevalier herself was a Columbia student arrested for protesting. This is voters against the civil society organizations that folded to authoritarianism.
The election was great, but Trump's 3rd country deportations continue. 2027 Congress: Stopping this needs to be a priority!
Yesterday and overnight, this Journey ICE jet landed in: -Cabo Verde -Nigeria -Cameroon -Eswatini All but Nigeria are third-country removal “host” countries. Immigrant passengers onboard to Eswatini will have been shackled at the ankles, wrists, and waist for at least 27 hours.
The way you bring people together is via accountability and reform. Otherwise you're just papering over the cracks. You cannot have true unity without accountability and shared norms.
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
please please please please do this (and don't forget kids' sports leagues!)
3/ Subpoena the private equity managers enshittifying hospitals, dialysis centers, your local vet, your local primary care provider. Name individuals, not just companies. Shame them. Show the public (and public pension funds) how they make their money.

Just as important is the civil society plan to replace the university administrators, corporate leaders, law firm partners, and union leaders that caved to authoritarian pressure in 2024-2025
I'm not listening to no white men about next steps. So sorry. Check them numbers, bitch —
