the big AI danger is not companies suddenly inventing skynet - that's marketing rubbish, musk promising mars colonies by 2030 type stuff. the danger is companies claiming to have invented skynet and then putting what they actually have, a chatbot, in charge of stuff that's important

Procreate confirms it has NO plans to add generative AI features to its apps. The company continues to stand firmly against integrating generative AI into its creative tools.

the best thing a new administration could do to cut Big Tech down to size is offer a bounty and immunity to employees who provide evidence of crimes committed by their bosses.

I do think “every rich person went insane during covid because it was the first time they’ve been inconvenienced in decades” felt a little reductive at first but damn if isn’t more and more compelling as the years drag on
There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”
