The "AI" responses that Google gives about me and my work are consistently error-prone, which I know because I am me. If I know Google's "AI" responses give incorrect answers about things I know about, I can't trust it to give correct answers about things I don't know. So, no, I don't use it.

I’m surprised you don’t use ai answer engines in research you currently do with Google

Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance. Trump is far weaker than he looks. So is the GOP. We should draw them out, drain them at every opportunity, and fight for people’s wellbeing at every turn. We have been sent here to fight for people.

AOC: I think there's two things that are happening at once: One, there absolutely is an unprecedented abuse of power, destruction of norms, erosion of our government and our democracy in order to prop up an authoritarian style of governance However, they are weaker than they look…

My goals are simple: one, create the most lethal fighting force in the world and two, make them resent me specifically

ER doc here! This is a lie. Wait times are up because the American healthcare system is an unsustainable business model and a for-profit national healthcare system just doesn’t work. These problems will continue to get worse until we change that system. It literally has nothing to do with immigrants

Vance: "If you're an American citizen & you've been to the hospital in the last few years, you've probably noticed wait times are especially large & very often somebody who's there in the ER is an illegal alien. Why do those people get healthcare benefits at hospitals paid for by American citizens?"

It seems to me that the Big Beautiful Top Brass military meeting probably just pissed off the top brass & made them that much less amenable to doing whatever sort of fascist overreach Miller decides to try and use them for in the future. If I were at that meeting I'd sure be feeling petty right now

An important thing to understand about Trump's base is that they believed our military occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan were mistakes, but they also thought military occupations in Chicago, LA, Portland, and DC were very legal and very cool.

President Trump hailed the use of military force to police American cities, telling generals and admirals in an address that it was important to quell “the enemy within.”

We've all been dragged into an 8 AM meeting like this where senior leadership wants to tell you their "vision" while you give your co-workers massive side eye in the audience over what they say vs. what they do. This meeting may generate levels of sympathy for the military not seen since 9/11.

Hegseth: "Basic training is being restored to what it should be -- scary, tough, and disciplined. We're empowering drill sergeants to instill healthy fear in new recruits, ensuring that future warfighters are forged ... they can put hands on recruits."

Shadowrun was the first game I ever fell in love with. It's one of the great kitchen sink games that mashes up different genres in fun and exciting ways. This article also grasps a lot of the reasons why the game is difficult to love.

Rascal News@rascal.news · 11mo ago

Shadowrun is a unique phenomenon in the world of games. It's not the biggest game, but almost everyone’s heard of it — though what they’ve heard might not be complimentary. What's the story there? Why does it have the reputation it does?
