Sometimes I worry people think I'm like going to cheat on her or something because they call me a wife g[irl] and I just associate that term with men who are secretly being assholes but also how could I not post about this woman all the time?

Streeting pledged to extend the ban on PBs for trans kids before election. we begged people not to vote for them because the direction of movement was clear. now we have national segregation & no legal protections in equalities law. you need to fight for YOUR side of the overton window, not theirs.

It's not a hypothetical, the situation is broadly worse for trans people in the UK under a transphobic liberal party than they were under the transphobic conservative party there or under Trump in the US.

Trans kids are an easy target because they sit at the intersection of two groups the right is hell-bent on denying basic human rights: trans people, and children.
When Dems like Talarico make heel turns, they're gambling that the majority of voters actively hate or at best don't care about trans lives. They don't care what actual trans people think; it's cis voices that'll convince them that's not true.
I'd like all cis people to stop and just read this headline and really take in how trans people are spoken about in the media.
