What they did was not fair use, we know this because of discovery where they admitted it was illegal, but decided to deal with the price of a fine. Don't whitewash what they did like that, it's immoral. That is not fair use. They stole and they admitted it to each other. It is well documented.

I still think AI systems should be paying me 150k per copyright violation. People keep asking me 'what laws do we need for AI?' and I keep saying 'enforce the fucking ones we already have!' There are copyright laws that should be being enforced right now that just... aren't. B/c it's billionaires.

Not a single parent has filed a book challenge in Palm Beach in two years. The district just removed 1800 books anyway, because AI told them to. There are many reasons that is unthinkable but let's not forget AI DOES NOT HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOOKS. IT CANNOT READ THEM. It just makes crap up!

Reviews are for the reader! Bad reviews are an essential part of the ecosytem FOR READERS. I have comrades who keep an eye out for people discussing issues like factual errors, outdated language, problematic arguments, etc. (and it's never those reviewers who tag me lol).

Why is it still necessary to tell people not to *tag me* in bad reviews of my book? You can write them! Share with your network! Think what you think! Do it on Goodreads! But when you tag me, you are tapping me on the shoulder and saying “I want to make sure you see this.” You don’t need to do that!

A disturbing warning for early voters: If a machine changes your selection or won't accept your vote, don't assume it went through. Check the screen, get a poll worker, and keep checking until your choices are recorded correctly. Make sure your voice counts. Report errors to election officials now.
