Matrix Resurrections is a goddamned brilliant movie that says what it has to say with its whole goddamned chest. I literally cannot believe that they let Lana Wachowski make a $190 million love letter to transition.

Not only is Matrix Resurrections on par with the first film, it’s also one of the most important blockbusters ever made. As with Speed Racer, time will reveal it as the sci-fi masterpiece it is.

These two fell in love while doing an improv show at Edinburgh Fringe, where, because of the budget they not only had to share a room, but also had to share a bed. It's the gayest thing ever. They had their dates in graveyards because one of their ex's was producing the show so they had to be sneaky

I wrote this soppy poem about 5 days into our relationship. Anyway, today is our 7th anniversary so, turns out you *can* just look at someone and know.

Praising with Faint Damnation
How to be sure of anything at twenty-two?
I don’t know why they let us do anything. How
do you look at someone and know except
that she keeps joking about not being silver enough
for my metaphors and I'd say she was a moonbeam anyway.
I'd call her starlight enough times for it to make us all sick.
You can never know how you'll look back, only: she keeps
cities in her pockets, points out a newly built spire, light
catching a window and glinting across the whole street.
Surely it's easier with age, tell me you know how to be.
I'm afraid I'm here with all my embarrassments tucked into
my armpits. Here I am shouting across the street like Catullus:
I hate and I love! Yeah, buddy, don't we all. You know
I nearly got hit by six different cars on the way to our first date
ran the whole way there. I guess
there are some things worth reminding yourself to live for
and its coffee and graveyards from here on out.
it's the sheer unfiltered joy of waving to your regrets
and catching a train. I've got nothing figured out,
I'm here.

I honestly have no idea why some trans women are so invested in esoteric discourse topics that pit themselves against trans men. Trans men should be your allies. These discourses that paint trans men as enemies are just doing the far-right’s work for them.

Speed Racer is the perfect trans femme film because it’s a bunch of cool things you’re introduced to as a boy like martial arts and motor racing but queered through a kaleidoscope of bubblegum visuals and wholehearted sincerity.

I saw Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and George Floyd all executed by the police and their deaths used by window dressing for corporate morality. Im not really buying this "woke 1" thing when people have been out in the streets for a while

I say this as a former member of the Whitechapel board and as someone who can genuinely credit Ellis' work as changing the course of my life: fuck this dude. He targeted and victimized my friends, colleagues, and/or (former) partners. And people keep showing their asses for this creep. Fuck em all.

What changed? Image Comics is working with Warren Ellis again after publicly cutting ties in 2021 due to sexual misconduct allegations. Details: thepopverse.com/comics-warre...

Most video games only give you XP when you succeed at things, but in real life, it's usually the failures that give you the kind of experience that lets you level up. I've come to see "failure" as a gift of experience instead of a misfortune.
