ok so trans people will clock this immediately but if you are very abundantly a trans child. other children and even adults notice, immediately alienating you from peers. you're not even given the decency of being weird, you're *different*

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Bluesky's Head of Trust and Safety handed his block list to a bot. 1,271 people blocked in eleven days. He says it never looks at who you are. Blocks are public, so I checked. Trans people were blocked at 2.5× the odds of everyone else, for posts of the same harshness. 🧵

Title card reading "Who the autoblocker blocked". Three figures: 1,271 accounts blocked in eleven days, against twelve in the two years before. 46% of the readable bulk-loaded accounts had never replied to, quoted or mentioned him this year. 2.5× the odds of being blocked for a trans-identified account, against others who wrote equally harsh posts. Below, a quote from Aaron Rodericks, 1 Oct 2026: "These do not factor in your bio or your identity. I have zero clue who you are."

I think about the time I started kindergarten? In preschool I have no memories of feeling ostracized at all, but very early in kindergarten I definitely did. I don't even recall, like, *why* I felt like I was an outsider, but all these years later I still remember the feeling.

Every once in a while I see a post about "your childhood dream" referring to what you wanted to be when you grew up and I'm always a little bit... like I suppose I could pick one but I changed my mind approximately weekly, I did not have a consistent thing I wanted to be

This Indigenous People's Day, I wanted to promote the incredible handmade leather work by my good friend Tommy, Native Necromancy on fb, @amealformaggots on insta. He is Lenape of the Turtle Clan. You can see his work in person at both Gonzo Glass Studio and Cerridwen's Hearth in Mount Holly NJ.

This. I had heard too many good things about Trejo to believe he'd turned bad, but I was scratching my head about why he'd be involved in a Ben Shapiro Migra copaganda film. Him being lied to, then signing a contract, then being fucked makes so much sense.

I should’ve assumed that was the case. Danny Trejo in a pro ice movie? It would be like Willie Nelson singing about the dangers of smoking weed.

gm! at 10 I'll be live-tweeting the emergency TRO hearing in Judge Reyes's "courtroom" (this is on Zoom) in D.C. Preservation League v. Department of Interior, otherwise known as the golf course case

"More than being upset and furious right now, I am just beyond disappointed in the government. I have done everything humanly possible to give the government the benefit of the doubt in this case. I have done it repeatedly. I have done it for months."
