thene@thene.bsky.social · 2mo agoi am working on a very, very long blog post that could really have fit into a skeet: When someone posts that "this website/journal article/etc proves my dramatic claim!!!" and then does not link to the website, journal article, etc, it is because it does not in fact prove their dramatic claim.

I can't think of anything more monumentally sad than holding your wedding as a ticketed event at a major venue. What even are you, at that point? A commercial for yourself?
Yup This seems to be the kind of case they’ve tied their whole existence to. They’ve already been clear on what legal matters they won’t help with, which we know why now with their history but this is one of the most egregious cases in comics history and they’re on X pushing their humble bundle deal

one interesting thing so far about loudly hating AI is the way AI lovers are like "wow so you're just totally closed off to hearing another perspective??" as if their perspective hasn't been relentlessly pushed down our throats with no space to push back (particularly in professional settings)
id take a bad drawing by someone on your marketing team over polished ai slop literally any day
