Anyone who's worked in gamedev knows how deeply collaborative it is, and how someone refusing to speak to you - ESPECIALLY someone you report to - can completely and utterly derail your work. If you think an artist's style looks like AI but you can scroll back through their portfolio and see them doing the same work before 2020, congrats, you're not looking at an AI grifter. You're looking at one of the original victims whose entire style AI stole.

This is (partially) a joke, but more seriously, I have actually found my game designs get better the more I reject conventional wisdom, and explicitly design around my personal strengths I just struggle to give that advice to novices because, weeeeell, your instincts aren't that good yet probably 😭

I think it's funny when I get lumped into those "FOOLS WHO ARE WRONG ABOUT AI" lists cause in the beginning I was open-minded to AI Art and took the time to understand how it worked and attempted to find a use for it but that's how I came to the conclusion that it sucks and does more harm than good

This is what I see whenever I come across AI generated food ads, flyers, or menus.

Growing up Half-Asian and Half-Italian in California, most food I ate was either a variety of Asian, Italian, Mexican and whatever Americanized versions of those existed So I had only just now, in my 30's, got into eating cottage cheese and it's all because of this line from Always Sunny

Clearsky being gone is good for society but I don't think what starter packs I'm in should be info I need to use a third party site to find out Like idk it was neat to see what I was added in and then be able to check out the other members of the starter pack
