"I make runs that look pointless but I am creating space" will be the gist of all my future work appraisals.
Interview with Kai Havertz on being misunderstood, a more joyful German World Cup camp, initial misgivings over Arsenal trophy parade - and those “hydration breaks”. Lots of ground covered, piece (in collaboration with Die Zeit) here: www.theguardian.com/football/202...

I’m very glad that Best Son is having a great ski day, but this very loud, stuffy, and overcrowded ski lodge is grating and the horrendous cover band is causing my brain to shrivel. In short, I’m having a hard time entertaining myself … Ask me odd questions?
Took Best Son skiing in the Poconos today. I do not ski. Maybe select less dense reading material next time I’m sitting in a very noisy ski lodge?
Eating so much meat and dairy that my nutrition app tells me to go lite with some whiskey, neat
