since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

I wrote and drew a short comic for the upcoming Yule Volume 2 anthology of winter/holiday horror comics! (link in the first comment) My story follows an ill-fated meal delivery driver who encounters the Grither. What the hell is the Grither? Check out this anthology to find out ❄️

Digital drawing I made of a young person dressed in outdoor winter clothes walks up a dark cement stairwell and looks up pensively; they're carrying a tray meal and paper bag from a meal delivery service. This is a screenshot from my 4-page comic "Thursday Girl" which is featured in the anthology linked in this post.Screenshot of the first panel in my 4-page comic, "Thursday Girl." It is part of the anthology Yule Volume 2, and shows the title drawn in downward perspective with a red brick exterior wall. There is also a green recycling bin standing in the background, small pieces of trash and gathered snow, and the hint of a mitten-covered hand opening an industrial door by the handle.

When I was a very new pro, I did a signing with Theodore Sturgeon and a couple of other people. I was complaining to him about the trouble I was having with a scene. He looked at me and said, in his resonant tenor, "I give you permission to do it wrong." Most liberating thing I ever heard.

I once heard someone talking about up and coming stand-up comics, “everyone needs a place to be lame“ I’ve always thought that was very insightful.
