I put 300 into the category of "accidentally good." The whole thing is a propaganda story told after the fact by a character with not only figurative but LITERAL one-sided vision (blind in one eye). To me, it's hard NOT to see the movie as undercutting its own war propaganda.

when I was a much younger man I had a habit of trying to convince conspiracy theorists I met of even crazier theories. if they denied the moon landing, I'd try to convince them the moon itself was a hoax, etc. Starting to worry that might have done lasting harm.
They’ve done this exact same thing to a tee here in my area of Michigan- they get it in the news that oh no that’s not what we did! The news just reprints their press release, calms everybody down- and off they go disappearing people.

A better use of your time as a cis person is to email or phone your politicians and tell them not to rely on your support if they keep attacking trans people. Demand better from your politicians.
