#sfcd #raumpatrouille #orion #sciencefiction

The hitmaker strikes again! Dan Liu has now director six episodes of #StarTrek and they are all absolutely brilliant! ✅ Memento Mori (SNW) ✅ Imposters (PIC) ✅ The Bounty (PIC) ✅ Lost in Translation (SNW) ✅ Shuttle to Kenfori (SNW) ✅ Off-Hour (SNW)

I absolutely couldn't care less if someone likes new #StarTrek or not. But what does affect me is the bitterness and self-proclaimed exhaustion and joylessness ad infinitum, over-and-over again from people hitting their head against the wall. We get it. That's not criticism. It's whining. Move on.🖖

A thought about the reaction to this season of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds... People who love it are SO MAD that people who don't like it don't like, and people who hate it are SO MAD that people who love it love it. There is something so deeply broken in how we collectively respond to media.

It’s Matt Jefferies‘ birthday you say? Here’s 18 minutes of Doug Drexler and the Okudas plying him with questions about his work on the Original Series. At one point he wants to know where his ”antique space freighter” is (the Botany Bay). Good thing they didn’t bring Greg Jein, because he had it.

Back when we were on Deep Space Nine, Mike, Denise, and I took a drive out to our hero's hangar at the Santa Paula Airport. Our hero being the one and only Matt Jefferies, art director extraordinaire,...

There has been a weather station in Kew Gardens since 1871 a span of 155 years and counting. July 2026 was driest July in series, formerly July 1999 2.5mm and of all months with 0mm. A constant has been high variability, but we are seeing increased very dry July's.... (1/2)

The Orville ended 4 years ago today. Seth McFarlane said in March that 10 episodes have been written for season 4, but that he didn’t have time to work on the show for now. Provided that Disney gives the green light. No new New Horizons for now. USS Orville, art by Matt Tkocz:

A sleek, futuristic white spaceship with sweeping curved structural wings glowing with cyan lights glides through deep space amidst purple lens flare effects.

It's a great one, with La'an in the middle. I really liked all the creepiness, it was like being the Star Trek version of the 2002 movie "Ghost Ship" with the essence of "Event Horizon" (1997). Also I really enjoyed the mentions of Division 12.

The new episode of #StrangeNewWorlds goes so fucking hard. Just relentlessly outdoes itself from one scene to the next; layer upon layer upon layer. I absolutely love "The Griffin Incident." #ProfanityNecessary
