Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.
Edd Coates | Game UI Database@eddcoates.bsky.social · 2w agoYet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.
With Volume 3 of Otaku x Gal, I was able to fulfill a very specific dream of mine—work on a book that references the Monogatari series! Check it out! 🔭 Translated by @cdcubed.bsky.social, lettered by @matchafinn.bsky.social, co-edited by newcomer Sophia Opitz and myself!

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.
Justin Decloux@declouxj.bsky.social · 9mo agoTHE CLANS HEIR IS A TRANS WOMAN (2013) is like Steven Seagal decided to Write/Direct/Star in a love letter to his trans friends, but it looks and feels like every action movie he's made... except Hitoshi Ozawa is way way way way cooler than Seagal.

HAPPY BI VISIBILITY DAY TO THE GRUNGLER !!!
Extra Haunted Doll, Dana Lexa@authorx.bsky.social · 3w agoAnother thing to remember on this bisexual day is that The Grungler is canonically bi. I do enjoy how it's become a term for "token cis guy who hangs out with a bunch of trans weirdos" but the original post was also about straight women being weird about bi men.
hey heyyy!! idk if i shared this yet, but i'm one half of the lettering team for this series!!!!!!! i was already a big fan of the anime and i was so happy to get asked to work on this with such amazing people!!!! can't wait for more :DDD

I wonder if anyone predicted that the problem with an extremely effective vaccine is that after a few years the stupidest people around would come to believe that the success of the vaccine means that the vaccine was never needed.
Kathleen Bachynski@bachynski.bsky.social · 4w ago“On Thursday, Mr. Gorton said that “the success of the polio vaccine was a massive medical fraud” and that widespread vaccination was a “public health disaster.” He received a standing ovation… Mr. Kennedy spoke next, linking arms with the group even as measles cases continue to rise”

longshot: trying to track down contact info for Sabine Duvall, who was involved in localization work for many projects over the years, including (for my purposes) the FR/ES/DE versions of King's Quest VI. FB and LinkedIn were a bust, so hoping to locate an email address or something.
