imo anyone who thinks that Republicans are going to successfully recalibrate and nominate a relatively normal Republican presidential candidate in 2028 is kidding themselves. Think about the GOP primary electorate in 2024 and then think about who's left in the tent after this week.
I think even people on here are underrating the magnitude of a Colom victory and how insane flipping Mississippi would be. Doug Jones was going up against a literal pedo for a rental Senate seat with Trump in office. It didn’t really matter. Colom would have this seat for a minimum of six years!
