I don't know who needs to hear this but if you didn't pay attention to an autorenewal notice or bought a newsletter subscription and got instant Economy Remorse you can usually contact them and ask for a refund, you don't need to file a fake fraud dispute to get the charge reversed, hope this helps!

I am way too online for my own good, and I had an unreasonably large twitter following, and I really *enjoyed* twitter for a lot of years, and yet leaving there and never looking back was maybe the easiest what-felt-like-a-big-ethical decision I've ever made.

If you have web comics that you love be loud about them. Tell your friends. In most cases it's a pretty thankless job that some artist is pouring their soul into in the hopes that their story will find it's match in a few other souls out there.

Tech is at the ‘its ok that you will be deskilled by our product’ and ‘evil is good actually because its productive’ phase. No hero OR villain I can remember in fiction ever openly promised to make you less mentally capable as part of their pitch.

My life for the past two years has been reading about a tire fire just close enough to my house to really matter but slow enough that I can do things like play board games. It's...a special kind of disorienting I don't know how to fully describe.

The Toocheke dev has released an option to pull a tapas site into a wordpress website using their plugin. Wordpress isn't the only option when it comes to websites, but this feature should make it a lot easier for people to make the switch to a website if they want.
