China's Aerospace Force (ASF) "is still not using the term “space control” in the same way as it is defined in U.S. Space Force (USSF) doctrine" - focus is "on attacking an enemy’s ground-based space bases with weapons that travel through space, not conducting attacks in space."
BREAKING: The world's most sensitive dark matter detector has announced it has spotted something it can't easily explain: a single event that's tantalizingly consistent with a type of theorized dark matter particle. Very early days yet, but pretty wild. www.science.org/content/arti...

I was surprised by the level of interest in the post below. Here's the document I'm writing about. I found the chart at upper left to be nearly impenetrable. The table I scribbled up actually includes more info than the chart. My goal is to describe the lunar base program using just plain words.
I spent the day sorting out bits of a lunar base transportation model scattered across a 1987 NASA Langley/KSC/Lewis study of lunar base impacts on the dual-keel space station. This crude chart I made sums up ~25 pages of the 274-pg study. It's like doing a puzzle. Fun stuff, I say unironically.

In this week's newsletter, I asked: WTF is going on with the Polish Space Agency? Following the wild story behind her predecessor's departure, the agency's new president, Dr. Marta Ewa Wachowicz, has not made many friends with her efforts thus far. europeanspaceflight.substack.com/p/wtf-is-goi...
WTF is going on with the Polish Space Agency?
The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) has found itself in the middle of a deeply uncomfortable labour dispute, and it would quite like everyone to stop talking about it.

Chandrasekhar himself was barred from setting foot on the Univ. of Chicago campus his first 10 years there because, you guessed it, his skin was too dark (he did his work at Yerkes Observatory 90 miles north). He was brilliant, but here should have done better.
