Last night I had a dream I got bitten by a widow-type spider and immediately went "damn it, I wish I had Alie's spider book with me so I'd be able to tell which one it was!" and spent the rest of the dream trying to find a bookstore that sold it. So even my subconscious self clearly recommends it!

A Palaeopleurosaurus chases after some Leptolepis near a Seirocrinus raft, that also attracts ammonites and Stenopterygius. This scene takes place in what is now Germany, around 180 million years ago. In the Posidonia Shale, these and other animals are preserved in exquisite detail.
Something a bit different for today's share. Before I started doing ridiculously detailed insects, I did a few crustaceans using vector shapes, scanned paper textures and some custom 'splodgy' brushes.
