I purchased this despondent duck lamp for my desk and was notified today that my “baby item” had arrived and I cannot get over the idea of someone using this in a baby’s room. Like “welcome to your depressing life little baby, it only gets worse from here.”

An alarming number of people still don't know that you can get COVID more than once. Another huge number believe it's just a cold or mild flu. That explains why our vaccination rate has sunk to 17.5%. A complete failure of public health, especially when repeat infections carry ever increasing risks.

Reddit post from r/COVID19positive titled “COVID Wastewater Levels in Texas at highest levels in over 2 years.” The poster says they currently have COVID for the second time in about 90 days and were surprised reinfection could happen so quickly. They say people seem unaware of a significant outbreak and report that CDC wastewater trackers show COVID viral activity in Texas as “Very High,” at the highest levels shown on the CDC tracker in two years. The poster ends by saying it is bizarre that the situation is not being talked about very much.
