There is a railway bridge near my parents' house that gets hit by lorries about 3 times a year and every time it happens my mum sends me a picture of the lorry stuck under the bridge. It's honestly great.

Someone said my brother's dog looks like Jeff Daniels, & now I can't unsee it
I both enjoyed The Odyssey and think Emily Wilson's criticism of it is almost entirely valid. This is the bravest position a person can take and someone should give me a medal tbph.
Something I find weird is that after coming out of The Odyssey I assumed everyone would be taking about rebooting Columbo with John Leguizamo, and yet I can find no evidence of that discourse
I feel like the way of dealing with such behaviour is to look these people right in the eye and say, very gently, "You think your right to park matters more than homes these children?" Then when they reply just repeat it with slightly different emphasis.

[Me whispering to date during Neill Blomkamp's A.I. movie when literally anything appears on screen] that's crappy
District 9 director Neill Blomkamp is facing backlash after releasing his first full test film made completely with AI on YouTube. https://bit.ly/4vE8MW8
I'm enjoying walking into the living room every half hour or so and seeing that no one has scored
I was once tricked into seeing one of the Resident Evil movies at the cinema. She attempted to make up for it by getting us tickets for X-Men Origins Wolverine.

RIP Bonnie Tyler. I once saw her buying two rissoles from the chip shop. In another occasion she walked out of Barclays while I was getting cash out and humming total eclipse of the heart.
without the chemical brothers the first race in Wipeout would've taken place in eerie silence
JOKER: Not so fast, Bat-JERK! My LAUGHBangs will leave you BLIND as a BAT! BLUESKY BATMAN: Oof. Many people suffer from reduced vision. Not funny. JOKER: It's like, it's a pun. It's just wordplay. BLUESKY BATMAN: Sorry if I'm not in the mood for "jokes" while SCOTUS shreds our constitutional rights
The episode of The Simpsons where Mr Burns blocks out the sun will look different to future generations, he will be held as a hero and the vile assassination attempt will have people calling for Maggie’s head
Imagine thinking English speakers should refer to Germany as Deutschland but not Wales as Cymru because you're vomiting up stale meme garbage about the Welsh language
Wales makes sense to have an exonym given the general unpronouncability of the Welsh language tho
Dying on the tram and man got on wearing full suit. What the fuck.
They’re calling it the least comprehensible achievement of all time.
I am begging the yanks to stop having takes on British politics
There is a festival on so there are a bunch of youths on the tram. Anyway the point is that I regret to inform everyone that jorts are back.
Okay, it is quite funny that coping Starmerites set Burnham a ridiculously high bar that he cleared
** Starmer loyalists believe Burnham needs an “oh fuck” moment when the result drops to prove to Labour MPs he could be the answer to beating Reform. This could be a large majority or beating the combined Reform and Restore vote.
Watching journalists and pollsters desperately trying to pretend they weren't calling the Makerfield by-election a close call and a dangerous gamble a couple of hours ago is hilarious. The UK press are fucking awful at their jobs. Need to get off Twitter and speak to actual humans.
