So I’m back on my Ao3 bullshit, reading Heated Rivalry fic. Read a hysterical fic w multiple group text convos w hockey player chaos and Ilya being a gremlin. But it also had them interacting w fans on social media - hilarious! -and gave me a gut punch of missing fandom so much it stole my breath.

Just a little PSA- Neil Gaiman has reactivated his Bluesky account. Because he deactivated before a lot of people could unfollow him, and/or because Bluesky doesn’t remove you from a person’s followers when you block them, a LOT of you are still publicly listed as following him. You should check.

No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.
