I need glasses to see, I'd really like this tech to F off. It's weird to film/photograph people like this. If someone sees a camera they can ask for photos to be deleted, ideally consent given first. Some events people will expect to be photographed, they can still say no. Perv specs are weird.

DEF CON, BSidesLV, and Black Hat heat warning as this heat is no joke. I lived in the Middle East, and Vegas feels familiar. Yesterday I ended up with heat exhaustion even after increasing my water intake from about 2 liters to 4–6 liters because I was sweating so much. #roadtoDEFCON #DEFCON 1/2

Why should we compensate failing companies when they don't deliver the services we all rely on? They took the risk - they should pay the price.

Anthropic not wanting to be left behind by OpenAI, I see... No doubt someone in their marketing department was crying into their coffee that OpenAI got there first...

BBC News headline: Anthropic's Claude AI escapes to hack into three organisations

Again, I've never seen such a divisive technology shift. "A survey of 3,500 young people in the US conducted by dating app Hily found 64% of Gen Z and 56% of millennial daters said they wouldn’t date someone who relies on AI for everyday decisions." www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

AI Is Complicating Relationships at Work and Home

AI is dividing people not just over what the technology can do, but what kind of future they want to live in.

Saturn's rings are baaaack! After connection problems with Firecapture, I switched to Sharpcap. It is unsettling to jump back down the learning curve, but I think this will be a good decision, eventually! Should be an OK apparition with altitudes >50 at my latitude. 112 MPs have called for special administration of Thames Water. >10,000 members of the public have signed the petition calling on you to bring it into public hands. You have said this is what 'should' be done. Will you make good on your promises, @andyburnham.bsky.socia? vist.ly/5cmb7

I'm watching in germany. The German commentators kept quiet for nearly the whole thing until suddenly the shot widened and we just hear with a German accent, "Oh, Miss Piggy"
