Don't try to sell me that you're worried about rising fascism, if you think there's enough of a safety margin to throw away the 5% to 10% of anti-fascist votes that you will lose by backing an anti-trans candidate.
One more task for today: call your senators about HR 2616 The "Don't Say Trans" bill literally states it's "defending women from gender ideology." Cis women, I am deputizing you especially. Please make several phone calls to tell them to knock it the fuck off.

this is a distinction i try to draw as often as possible: being trans is great! so interesting, so eye opening, so rewarding! a lottery win, both in terms statistical rarity of experience and how much unique joy it brings to your life! it is TRANSPHOBIA that sucks shit, not being trans itself

we had to read Cold Mountain in high school and i'll never get that time back. the characters, the pacing, the setting, the plot, the way so much is handled, the way so much ISN'T handled, the stylistic choices, the ending: i hated it all and i still do today
