WATCHING THE RESIDENT, EARLY SEASONS: okay, sure, an inoffensive if somewhat mid medical drama. why not? look, the dude from gilmore girls is here! WATCHING THE RESIDENT, LATE SEASONS: we can all agree that this hospital has been cursed by 10,000 witches

today i tried rainbow sherbert for the first time (i was allergic to dairy until a few years ago) and discovered immediately that it's one of my favorite foods. if there's a better way to celebrate the death of that virulent ghoul, i don't know what it is

singular experience of the day: i saw number of skunks. you will not guess the number of skunks i saw; i wouldn't've guessed the number of skunks i saw. IT WAS FIVE!! FIVE SKUNKS!!! A MOM AND 4 BABIES!! JUST THEIR SKUNKY LITTLE FACES PEEPING OUT FROM UNDER A BUSH TIL THEY RETREATED ONE BY ONE! 🦨🦨🦨🦨🦨

yeah, look, fascism is "if you give a mouse a cookie." or, if you prefer, "if you let a mouse take a cookie on what it falsely insists are rational and/or moral grounds." convincing yourself that a few concessions will appease them is a trap; in fact, all it does is prove you're willing to concede

I'm not voting for a candidate that wants fascism for trans kids, but safety for me. Don't try to sell me that you're worried about rising fascism, if you think there's enough of a safety margin to throw away the 5% to 10% of anti-fascist votes that you will lose by backing an anti-trans candidate.

One more task for today: call your senators about HR 2616 The "Don't Say Trans" bill literally states it's "defending women from gender ideology." Cis women, I am deputizing you especially. Please make several phone calls to tell them to knock it the fuck off.

HR 2616, a National "Don't Say Trans" Bill, Passed the House. Here's What It Is and What You Can Do.

The House of Representatives passed bill HR 2616, a federal "don't say trans" bill that would harm kids and create mass censorship.

trans people will also continue to be around your whole life. you'll be sharing bathrooms & communities w/ us your whole life; we'll be there whether you know we're trans or not. this horrific moment will eventually pass but transness will not, and our memories of how you act now will also remain

Trans people have been around your whole life. You’ve been sharing bathrooms with them your whole life. They’ve been in your communities your whole life. They’ve even been playing sport your whole life. And you didn’t care *at all* till a few years ago when every right wing org decided you should

The cover for COMFORT READ by Dylan Morrison against an illustrated backdrop of stacked books. The cover depicts two men in bookshop, one passing another a book from atop a ladder that's leaning against the shelves. A large orange cat stands at the feet of the man on the ground.

If you're looking for ways to support creatives, writing positive reviews of their work is 1. Free 2. Full of compliments that encourages them 3. Marketing they can reshare to promote their work 4. Just a decent thing to do, thank you!

this is a distinction i try to draw as often as possible: being trans is great! so interesting, so eye opening, so rewarding! a lottery win, both in terms statistical rarity of experience and how much unique joy it brings to your life! it is TRANSPHOBIA that sucks shit, not being trans itself

it makes me sad when i see trans people talk about how they hate being trans. while it's been tough and made my life harder in ways, it's also been one of the biggest blessings in my life. the perspective on life i have, people i know, and who i am are informed by me being trans

people who love conflict are almost always more visible than those who hate conflict, bc the conflict-haters avoid conflict. however, people who hate conflict nearly always outnumber those who love it, and just don't want to fight about it. this is the source of many problems across much of society

Genuinely annoying how the pro harassment folks act like there are no trans people who are against harassment

You are a skilful and trusted vizier. You will advise me wisely on how best to rule the kingdom. You will not scheme or plot. You will not inveigle my other courtiers into turning against me. You will not lie to me about scheming or plotting. If you scheme or plot against me, you have to tell me,

the year was 2001, and i was at the airport with my family when i realized i'd forgotten to bring a plane book. i was 12, riddled with undiagnosed ADHD, and possessed of 2 younger brothers, one of whom was under the age of 3: to me, this was a kevin mcallister's parents in home alone level mistake.
