Bad times in Spokane right now (photos from yesterday). My family has thus far been fortunate, but far too many neighbors have not. Send positive vibes plz.

Getting to design characters for a murder mystery visual novel set in the Myst/D'ni universe was such a blast, I hope this also sees the light of day someday:

The other (much smaller) game @shoomlah.bsky.social and I worked on near the end of our time at Cyan is shown here (@ 28:07). "WhoD'nit?", a Myst visual novel / Phoenix Wright style murder mystery (and yes you would obviously be able to flirt with all the suspects!) I still really want to make this.

DF is losing some really amazing people today. They are some of the smartest kindest people you can ever work with. Please be on the look out for them as they search for what's next!

The Great Giant Bomb Road Trip is coming to a close, which means the boys will be at Mysterium (the Myst convention) THIS Saturday in Portland, Oregon! Their panel, The Trial of Daddy Atrus, will be at 4:30PM PT!

Mr. John Oliver please look at RAM prices so that parents will text their gamer sons and daughters “hey did you hear about these RAM prices” and we can all respond “yeah”

Lotta people out there acting like "gatekeeping" means "you have to learn it." Art, programming, writing, etc are skills. They have to be learned. You not being able to do something because you haven't learned how to do it isn't those people gatekeeping something from you, you just haven't learned.

I am exasperated with people accusing programmers of "gatekeeping" programming. We were practically dragging people through the gate. Do you know why a mindless LLM can tell you so much great programming information? It's because we've been sharing that information for free online for decades.
