When a radioactive train bit mild mannered Bartleby Leight, he turned into your friendly, neighborhood BART-man. Vigilante superhero luchador fighting for public transit all over the SF Bay Area! https://bart-man.carrd.co/ https://sfba.social/@elbart_man

Another way to change a corporation that you do not own, work for, or are on the board of is to organize your community to get lots of people to stop using its products and to get a governing body to enact/enforce laws that force behavior change of the corporation, its leaders, or funders

For my birthday (🥳) on Wednesday I’m asking anyone who’s interested to please help me make a donation of workwear and PPE to day laborers in Petaluma. Or, even better, hire a local worker at a fair wage to help with a project around your home/garden. Lots of information below. Thanks for listening 🙏🏼

Taking a big step back for a moment: The amount of culture and narrative shift around transit, street safety, bikes, and walking in America over the past 20 years has been enormous. Huge thank you to everyone who organizing, educating, and fighting for it and to prior generations we're building on

AC Transit will vote tonight on whether to ban our elected representatives from ever publicly disagreeing with the board. Amongst other undemocratic, possibly unlawful rules. They’re still legally required to listen to your public comment tonight. 5 pm on Zoom. I’ll see you there.

Speak out tomorrow against this undemocratic, anti-transit rider, and all together bizarre set of recommendations to the AC Transit board from consultants actionnetwork.org/events/speak...

“Accidental Renaissance” or “The Price Of Victory?” Maybe both describe Guapo Lupe’s hard-fought battle to retain his PPW Cruiserweight Championship against the challenge of RBJ. You can expect more emotional moments like this when PPW returns to The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma on Sept 18th. 🤼

The latest BART Connects is here! Meet Mariah, The BART Princess 💅 “My BART ride is my soft launch into the day – my own version of main character energy before the city wakes up,” she said. “I don’t want to sit in traffic. I just want to vibe. BART lets me do exactly that.”

She's not on Bluesky, but huge thanks and congrats to Bike East Bay Co-Executive Director Jill Holloway for successful organizing to extend the Ava e-bike rebate! We only had a couple weeks notice, and with the help of our team she organized a petition, email writing campaign, and outreach.

If you're not terminally on twitter, you may have missed that the Supervisor from District 6 is asking Elon Musk's chatbot to justify killing civilians in Gaza. These posts seem frankly unhealthy and unhinged, as well as being racist and violent.

Last Sunday, San Francisco District 6 Supervisor Matt Dorsey relaxed after what was, for most, a fun-packed SF Pride by repeatedly prompting xAI chatbot Grok to provide justifications for the killings of civilians in Gaza by Israeli forces. www.coyotemedia.org/s-f-lawmaker...
