Those folks have a lot to answer for, IMO. And every red flag during the primary was brushed aside with "But charisma! Working class! Town halls! Momentum!"

Your two options in American politics are the "let's raise taxes and give rural America subsidies" party and the "let's cut taxes and give it all to billionaires" party. I think it would be neat if there were a "raise taxes and invest in urban areas" option!

As I detailed in WHITE FLIGHT, segregationists in Atlanta absolutely loved public services -- buses and trolleys, parks and pools, golf courses and tennis courts, etc. -- right until they were forced to desegregate and "stolen" from them. They abandoned them and built up private alternatives.
The fact people care about a "client list" from Jeffrey Epstein rather than restitution for his victims shows conspiracy theorists never about justice for these girls. They cared about weaponizing his horrific actions to "expose" their enemies.
