This is addressed to everyone, but especially Americans under the age of 30: Read dystopian novels. Read 1984, and Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451, and White Noise, and—fuck—even Hunger Games. So many of you just aren’t getting what’s been happening just because you don’t read.

Huh. So as owner Songtradr slashes the Bandcamp engineering team, they're also shutting down Songtradr. These two platforms do different things. Most of the actual Songtradr functionality is going to MassiveMusic. Apart from Bandcamp, anyone using those other tools?

my 13 years at bandcamp are coming to an end - i’ve been laid off along with most of the remaining engineers. best job i’ve ever had, working with the best people you could ever work with. unceremonious end to quite a ride.
