Ad Astra Games learned about in-house Print-on-Demand publishing from Timeline Ltd's new owners when they reprinted The Morrow Project. I knew of a new kind of laser printer with lower costs-per-click. We shared what we knew with Amarillo Design Bureau, who adopted the process post-haste.

My BS meter has always gone off around Ken. I've been amazed at the places he's landed; but they never work out. I guess noting all that would be seen as punching-down, which no one wants to do.

Cannot stress enough that this is a pitiful action by a weak, scared, pathetic group of insecure, wannabe authoritarians, and they should be mocked until the end of time for wanting to bring in the military over some people protesting them at a Home Depot.

I don't support any taxpayer money going toward life-saving healthcare for Trump supporters, but thankfully I'm not allowed to make that decision. Trump supporters should not be allowed to retract life-saving healthcare from their political enemies, either.

cis people: please call your senators today. Please please please. this is so critical. we’re begging you

Early infighting between anti-fascist factions is pretty common. Quite a few of them have still managed to form successful coalitions and win. If anti-Trump folks are going to squabble and infight, now is probably the absolute best time. Better to get it worked out as soon as possible.

A while ago, someone on here (I think @scottbot.bsky.social?) compared the way a lot of people treat GenAI now to the way people treated radium in the 1920s and 30s (ooh, let's put it in a health tonic! toothpaste! haemorrhoid cream!). I think about that a lot.

This was just posted by @tbretc.bsky.social on another platform. The Chicago Sun-Times obviously gets ChatGPT to write a ‘summer reads’ feature almost entirely made up of real authors but completely fake books. What are we coming to?

At this point, I'm just angry that people as stupid as Trump and Noem have the ability to go through life not understanding how stupid they are. If there were any justice in the world, they'd be put in a room and told how stupid they were 24/7 until it finally sunk into their stupid heads.

I'm self-conscious about my creative work and never think it's good enough, so I haven't promoted my first solo product much. But I guess I might as well. D&D 5e (2014) subclasses and some other stuff. Should be mostly compatible with 2024. It's cheap! www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/4...

I really want to talk about non-political stuff more, but whenever I get talking about tabletop RPGs, I just babble endlessly. So, anyway, I'm playing the Ys series video games for the first time since I played Ys 3 on the SNES. Beat the 1-2 remakes, playing 3 remake, have Origins to play later.

Genuinely baffled about why pundits on both sides are upset about the Qatar plane and taking a stand after ignoring dozens of other blatant acts of corruption. Like, why? What the hell? Crypto scams, selling Tesla on the White House lawn, etc, was fine with them. But this stupid plane matters?

🧵 I am not a political scientist nor a historian. I am not especially learned nor wise. But there is a basic bit of civics that seems to have been forgotten. Many of the protests against the current regime in the US are framed as: "It's illegal. There must be rule of law," or 1/11

A cogent guide to the coming Medicaid debate from @citizencohn.bsky.social. “Republicans would have to acknowledge that Medicaid cuts are a choice…That’s why so many GOP leaders are saying the cuts are a necessity. They’re just hoping nobody will notice it’s not.” open.substack.com/pub/thebulwa...

3 ‘Prebuttals’ for MAGA’s Coming Health Care Cuts

Here’s what Republican leaders don’t want you to know about their Medicaid plans.

Q: "How do you respond to Governor Newsom?" Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."

The rate of '00s conservatives suddenly talking about the need for general strikes and abolishing ICE is increasing. Which is good, but so weird. Based on my calculations, we have less than a month before George W. Bush and Bill O'Reilly take a selfie showing off their matching Che Guevera shirts.
