I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

ICE agents threatened to beat up a Seattle small business owner, married to a citizen, with NO criminal record unless he signed a "voluntary" departure. I'm told there were cameras in the room. I'm demanding any video and that Eduardo be brought home immediately.
On Thursday, ICE needlessly detained Eduardo Aguirre Esparza, a local Seattle small business owner with no criminal history. This is a man who is married to an American citizen and with deep ties to our local community who was working hard to pursue a legal pathway to lawful permanent residence.

One last thing: people always try to think of scenarios where it’s fine. I strongly urge people to watch this video to get in your head all the ways that the police will use what you think are harmless statements to convict you of crimes you did not commit.

Mamdanis are going to look like the place whose politics produce them. Those tactics will look different. Can't walk the boroughs in Montana. The strategy is absolutely transferrable. And it better be possible. If it isn't, what are doing here?
Oh yeah this is a common mistake. To make a protein shake, you stir the margarita with extra tequila and then serve it with a side of steak fajitas. Hope this helps.
I’ve been trying to make a protein shake all morning but it keeps coming out as margarita… Where am I going wrong? Wrong answers only please!
I will pay an editorial cartoonist to create this for The Handbasket. email/msg on signal if interested.
Need an actual artist (not AI) to mock up the National Lampoon's Vacation poster, but it's Sean Duffy instead of Chevy Chase and it's nothing but airport crashes and lines for $8 gas in the background. (Actual artist. If you put an AI version in my mentions, I'll block you.)

I just sent this email to the news director at NBC4 Washington about the unprofessional and disrespectful way they handled publishing the body camera footage of the DOGE raid on the US Institute of Peace that was obtained via my FOIA lawsuit:

NEW — An obscure Navy contractor program is making Trump’s plans to quickly build out and supply immigrant concentration camps around the country a reality. Here I explain WEXMAC TITUS, an acronym you need to understand:

The New York Times just launched a new "newsletter about the law and the courts." They are calling it "The Docket." The Times may not care that Democracy Docket has been publishing "On the Docket" and "Daily Docket" for years, but I believe our 400,000 subscribers might. More on this tomorrow.
