a lobotomy is when they remove one or both of the wolves — lobos — inside of you

E-bike hive member since 2020. Biked to all 81 Chicago Public Library branches as a shitpost. Pro-Chicago til the day I die.
I drove to the next state over (Gary, IN) because they had more appointments and my ADHD-ass couldn’t play the game of “log in at the exact right time to get one in Cook County” Ordered a literal custom cake on the way home from the second appt to celebrate (S/O Brown Sugar Bakery)
I got a flu booster today and it made me reflect on the sense of national accomplishment I felt when I drove to a public facility, waited in my car until my number was called on an app, and got my first covid jab. It's fucked the right gets to erase what a moment of technological liberation that was
My 11-year old asked me today if CD stands for “Car DVD” 💀💀💀
I am 2,000 years old
Update! This information was useful since the artist is painting another piece down the street from us. Also the Sentrock motif wasn’t far off since they’ve definitely collabed on other pieces…
UPDATE: The artist is Ramiro Huizar! www.instagram.com/ramiro_arte_/
the player who casuals think caitlin clark is plays on caitlin clark’s team

Another Riley Gaines-ass stat line for the known MAGA sympathizer.
The Lynx Rebel Edition Jersey with the silvery metallic leopard print pattern are fly as hell.
i bring a sort of ‘i fear neither pain nor death’ energy to the pedestrian/driver interaction that drivers don’t really like
I bring a well-practiced “Resting litigious face” to all my interactions with drivers.

At least the three people hospitalised when this car crashed into a house in Sunderland yesterday probably heard it coming.
You can’t hear a bicycle coming at you and at 25 mph, there is enough force there to kill you. Both vehicles and bikes are hazardous to pedestrians. I support bikes but they need to operate within traffic laws as everyone else has to.
We should normalise "like selling coffee/cake/donuts to cyclists" as an idiom for something that's absolutely piss easy because for one thing it's true but also it might embarrass business owners into not blaming their failure on bike lanes when it's usually because their coffee tastes like ass.
A bar. A benediction. A blessing “WE WAIT. SHUT UP”
The the car behind her started honking, and here's the southie moment: That driver hauls herself out of the car window up to her waist, pivots 180 degrees and yells "SHUT THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE, YEAH YOU, WE WAIT, SHUT UP." Then she turned and gave me the best smile in the whole world. 11/7
Cleaning out some files and came across this—copyright 1977!
This man is an opp designed to give bad advice to his male friends and sabotage female relationships…just an incredible string of bad decisions.
Incredible scene from the @milwaukeeavbike.bsky.social bike lane yesterday. (There’s almost always ample parking available when drivers CHOOSE to block the bike lane)
Our kids see our unhoused neighbors in Mpls every day. They’ve never had a negative interaction or a threat to their safety. They HAVE had so many opportunities to talk & learn about the inequities in our society and build empathy for other people with less privilege than we have.
As someone who has watched the WNBA for years, the “let’s make a Sophie Cunningham a face of the league” feels weird and coordinated. Why is THIS player being shoved in my face so much?!?
Speaking for the first time since ralliers began assembling in support of her stance against transgender participation in women’s sports, Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said this was an opportunity for the WNBA to uphold its values of diversity and inclusion. nyti.ms/4fHr4Qn
the reason good transit is not valued in this country is because the types of people who cannot drive are not valued: children, disabled people, people living in poverty
(starting to plan for some PARKing day tactical urbanism) The saying “It’s just like riding a bike” obviously doesn’t include riding a Harry X Larry front-loader cargo bike for the first time… @marcprecipice.bsky.social how long does the learning curve last?
Cities are magnificent in ways that small-minded people can’t even begin to imagine…
Riders cross in front of the Fountain of Time at the 2026 Broken Arrow Horseback Riding Club High Noon Ride - Hyde Park, Chicago.
I’m going to tell y’all’s kids that this is Charlie Brown & Friends.
posting this while standing straddling 2 parking spaces at the Safeway just to take them away
Theory…the exonerative tense we use for drivers, “car crashes into building” while eliding agency for the driver will be used for these AI systems. …and it will largely defang our ability to respond (in the same way we’ve chosen to ignore societal costs of private autos).
My 7-year old is catching us up on her understanding of the Old Testament and referred to the 10 plagues saying, “and then God made all this craaaazyy stuff happen” lmao 🤩
