I’ve been screening our documentary with organizing communities in the South. So far, the organizers mention data centers first at every single event. From racial justice orgs to old school activists who don’t usually think about tech policy. This has legs.
My editor asked me to write about what happened to summer:

Springer Lake in Nopiming Provincial Park is a proposed ecological reserve recovering from the 2025 fire. It is also controlled by a secret military training base that burnt in the fires. It's time to get this destructive military training base out of a sensitive provincial park. #mbpoli

I love em dashes and I'm not going to give them up because robots that write badly also use them.
Yeah, Kat Tenbarge was much nicer to Jack Osbourne than I would have been, I would have just told him to go fuck himself. Also, if you're going to accuse a writer or journalist of using "AI" on the basis of em dashes, absolutely positively go fuck yourself.
you should be in jail, but instead you are describing an incredibly common abuse dynamic where the victim tries to keep the abuser happy to avoid another explosion this guy makes me sick
Rep. Max Miller: "These are incredibly serious criminal accusations. If these accusations were true, I would be in jail — I would be. My former wife would not have been offering to cook me dinner and inviting me to playgrounds. Think about that."
"yeah i just ask chatgpt and-" cool i no longer take you seriously as a person
I say this with love but it really hasn't ever been latent. We went through a brief period where it somewhat fell out of fashion to be overtly racist/xenophobic/transphobic/misogynist, and I do mean *brief.* MAGA is the rage response to that short interlude.
Also, given how quickly this version of the country and society burst up through the ground, it's kind of disturbing to realize that it must have been always latent, simply waiting for permission and its moment

FYI there is no "real" reason why Rome "fell." Its power waned for the usual, mundane reasons: widening gap between rich and poor, inability to maintain infrastructure, incompetent leadership, pointless wars, endless persecution of marginalized groups who performed vital labor, etc.
