I wish pundits offered evidence to support the cliche that “Democratic candidates…got carried away with pronouns and identity politics” or that liberals sometimes direct “condescension…toward working-class Americans.” As it happens, the only example Kristof offers of such condescension is his own.
I think a significant number of people in the world today do not understand the difference between first-order or second-order issues, or even, for that matter, understand what structural problems are, or a lot of the time, literally the most basic facts about what happened or what we presently know

I can't believe the amount of recent history revisionism in the UK. Response to Polish immigration was so severe that it successfully led to Brexit. BREXIT. And tanked British economy. This happened last decade, you can just Google it.
In the past 2 years the word transgender was made verboten at universities in many US states, with scores of academics having lost their jobs and whole departments being shuttered for having harbored the wrong sorts of thought.

You get a lot of this flailing about “ideological conformity” from people who absolutely would not loudly run their stupid mouths about their fun opinions in a crowded pub on a Friday night, which shows you they do in fact understand what they are doing.

i was jus complaining about what labour have done to healthcare for trans ppl and some chode told me to 'try the nhs'. i've been on the nhs waiting for an APPOINTMENT since 2019. that's not even waiting for any care or treatment. that's just waiting for them to make an appointment.

A person may admit attraction while still choosing not to consent due to a person's birth sex. I'd personally find that -

The "academic" (and I use the word loosely) responsible for the death of Jason Arday apparently believes in what is basically Nazi race science about Jews, but thinks it's good for the Jews this time.
The idea that we need “intellectual diversity” in academia conflicts with the idea that the goal of some fields should be to learn actual truths. We don’t need to hire young earth creationists in geology departments, because the field has taught us young earth creationism is false.
If Oz or Kennedy Jnr recommend something health wise, ignore it as a rule.
