A lot of people are dooming about the Harry Potter TV Series being an inevitable success that will make JK Rowling a ton of money, but I want to remind y'all they are spending more money producing this thing than any TV series has EVER MADE www.republicworld.com/entertainmen...

Nothing goes to WWE to get better. No value gets added. The nicest thing you can say about it used to be "well at least they're getting paid", but you really can't say that anymore. It's the wrestling version of being bought by private equity.

The hill I will die on is that I believe people who work in wrestling media should actually like professional wrestling. Maybe it's a bridge too far, but it's ground I'm going to hold.

The shift in movie advertising between the 1900s and 1910s was profound. Studios and proprietary hardware were the main focus of earlier advertisements. This 1909 first page ad in a trade magazine was typical (the dawn of the star system was just over the horizon)

I love when I'm editing something I wrote and I can just carve out huge chunks of it. Just rip 300 words right out of an essay and suddenly it flows so much better. It feels like solving a puzzle.
