if there's a big headline Dem campaign to give to right now, it's Turek: Iowa is continuing to poll as a swing state, he's not putting up humongous fundraising numbers yet unlike most swing state candidates, and it's also one of the cheapest states to advertise in, so your money goes further

This is how I want the next Democratic president to run their Attorney General vetting process.

It sucks that the next Democratic Administration will have to jail at least 500 Trump officials on top of actually governing, but those are the stakes. Anybody not willing to chew gum and walk at the same time need not apply.
In a surprise 6-3 fifth decision this morning, the Supreme Court majority has reinstituted prima nocta.
this court is monstrous, completely out of control, and must be packed until its power is broken that was true yesterday, that is true today, and that will be true tomorrow even if they do hand Trump a defeat on birthright citizenship
Fourth (and *last*) ruling from #SCOTUS is in TPS. For the usual 6-3 majority, Justice Alito holds that federal law forecloses judicial review of statutory challenges to the executive branch's termination of temporary protected status for Haiti, Syria, etc.: www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

Unfunded inclusionary zoning mandates are a tax on new housing that crush housing production without creating broad affordability. Blue cities and states need to admit that this policy is counterproductive and abandon it entirely.

This is particularly maddening because the court allowed the election to go ahead when all the legal facts were exactly the same. The only real new information they have now is what the result was.
BREAKING: In a loss for Democrats, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the congressional map voters approved last month to counter GOP gerrymanders cannot go into effect. The decision overturns the will of voters for technical reasons and gives Republicans a leg up for the 2026 midterms.
