Backyard #asytrophotography M22 in Sagittarius is one of the closest globular clusters and would be much brighter except for the all the dust between us. It was one of the first discovered, way back in 1655.

The Auburn Ale House added 10 neutrons to their Pu240 IPA for the semiquincentennial. This made a very unstable isotope, my growler is already gone! They don't seem to know much about nuclear physics. They called Pu240 "weapons grade" but its presence in fission bombs can cause premature detonation!

I'mjustagirljm 🩷🧡🤎@justagirl52.bsky.social · 4d agoI awoke at 3:45 a.m. and decided to make the fermented garlic 🧄 in organic non-pasteurized honey. It took me a very long time to peal all of those garlic cloves! Packed in a sterilized mason jar, dated, to be ready in approximately 7 weeks and "burping" daily.
I made a simulation of a time lapse. That's about 6 actual shots at somewhat even intervals over an hour+, with a couple seconds of fade blend between each real photo. Not very scientific, no time stamps, etc., but it gives a fair impression of what the progress of the eclipse looked like.
One of the nice things about the #DwarfMini telescope that this was taken with is that the telescope did a good job keeping the Moon centered while the auto-exposure captured the red moon at maximal eclipse.

#migration #radar A couple nights ago I checked the radar. Ran about 6:30 to 9:30pm CDT. You can tell where sunset is by the appearance of the reflective radar signal from millions of birds migrating. You can probably see some of your swallows in there if you look real close. 😉

Alright, so, imagine if you will, high school freshman me. Squeaky clean, straight A's band nerd me. I had watched Rocky Horror on TV that Halloween for the first time. I didn't get it. It was weird and chaotic and I just flat out didn't understand why people were excited by it.
