BREAKING: We're suing Kansas for a law that invalidates transgender people's updated driver's licenses and authorizes anyone to sue anyone they suspect of being trans for using the "wrong" bathroom.
That snippet is ridiculous. Epstein was a sell-out. His closest confidante (Bannon) was a whole antisemite who didn't want his kids going to a school with too many Jewish students. White supremacy created Epstein. And people are clearly offering up antisemitism so they don't have to part with it.

It is so shortsighted/offensive to blame Jewish clannishness on Epstein's rise when the institutions that propped him up reached SO much wider than that.
I'm not going to lie - it's extremely troubling to me that this law and its obvious implications hasn't dominated national news for the weeks since its passing.

In addition to being a very uncomfortable dog whistle, this framing is completely the wrong lesson to take from the Epstein news. It’s about how widespread and pervasive misogyny and sexual abuse really are. This framing lets most of society off the hook too easily.

It may now be that their moment has passed and the public has moved on. If so, what a shame; what a lost opportunity.
Everyone here has had to decide what they will and won’t do. Will you take someone in your house? Will you bring them groceries? Will you patrol streets with a whistle? Will you do some other kind of work, of which there are many. And how many of these types.
