we've created a no AI notice to reassure people seeing our trailers and games with hand drawn lettering and a relaxing cute fox, and it's also up on itch in multiple formats* for anyone to use: eniko.itch.io/cute-fox-no-... *with/without fox, transparent/opaque, in 4k, 2160p, 1440p, 1080p, and 720p

Looking forward to reading this. I agree that the questions we ask can be quite revealing. I did this one based on Google queries in 2020 which reveals much about how the UK reacted in a year dominated by Covid (see alt text; questions best read from top to bottom in date order through the year).

A stacked line chart of white lines on a black background in the style of Joy Division's famous Unknown Pleasures album cover design.

Comprises 44 lines each corresponding to most popular 'how / when / what / who' questions to Google over the period of a year. Lines arranged in time order based on the peak time in which a given question was asked. Read from top to bottom this reveals the most pressing questions changing over the 12 months of a year in which the Covid-19 pandemic arose. The questions reading from top to bottom (and therefore broadly from January to December 2020) are:

Hahaha oh come ON! Guess what, this is even worse than "cyber correspondent for the BBC doesn't know what PHP is". He's WRITTEN A BOOK ON HACKING. He wrote a book on hacking and didn't know PHP existed. I wouldn't have even needed to provide a pic and you'd have been able to predict the man.

Cyber correspondent Joe Tidy says he didn't know PHP existed until yesterday morning - it's "one of these things we take for granted", he says.

Update on the use of AI text in Chaosium Community Content programs @drivethrurpg.com. TL/DR: Don't use it in our programs. AI is not art. It is theft from you and every writer who has gone before you, repackaged dishonestly and shamelessly as original. www.chaosium.com/blogupdate-o...

A good survey of the place of piracy in Rogue Trader. I have theories about why pirates were a thing then and became less of a thing later. The short summary is that RT, in its first years, was about social decay, an empire collapsing under the weight of its own perameters and adminsitrative...
