The U.S. Attorney believes that a "public rebuke" and an internal review are sufficient for egregious prosecutorial misconduct that put my family through hell. My seven-year-old is still having nightmares and panic attacks related to this case. Justice requires transparency and accountability.

Chicago U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros acknowledges 'mistakes' in 'Broadview 6' case but says sanctions, special counsel aren't needed. From @schuba.bsky.social: chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/0...

You’re allowed to be mentally unwell. You’re allowed to feel pain. You’re allowed to have said pain adversely affect you. You’re also allowed to get help for said pain. Most importantly, you’re allowed to be a human being. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Your life could depend on it.

A paramilitary group plotted to overthrow the Constitution then conducted a violent attack on America. They were convicted in court of seditious conspiracy, and jailed. Then the leader they aimed to illegally install got power and let them out, their records wiped clean. The Jan. 6 attackers won.

Judge Pained as He Grants Dismissal of Jan. 6 Charges Against Oath Keepers

The judge, Amit P. Mehta, blasted the administration’s request for a dismissal in the case, saying it bestowed “unearned grace” on the Oath Keepers defendants “by wiping their records clean.”

It was over for Max Miller politically when he said his wife couldn’t have been abused because she offered to make him dinner 6 days later. He may not have known it when he said it, but that was the end. You have to be a sick bastard to come up with that as your defense.

This thread combined with my bisexual partner is doing wonders for my self esteem The only person who can get in my way is Rachel Weisz. Not impossible, but we’re less likely to run into her on the street than into the unwashed asses that bolster her appreciation for my middling hygiene.

“Yes, sure, I’d love to run the risk of spending time alone with a creature that can’t wash its own ass but somehow still believes that it’s inherently intellectually and biologically totally superior to me, that sounds amazing” - increasingly few straight women in 2026, and good for them

Insurers sometimes deny coverage citing lack of progress, labeling patients’ conditions as chronic. Yet if they do make progress, insurers have also used that to argue patients no longer need treatment. Doctors are left to walk a tightrope. (Published Dec. 2024)

Her Mental Health Treatment Was Helping. That’s Why Insurance Cut Off Her Coverage.

Providers, patients and even some federal judges say progress-based insurance denials harm patients at key moments of mental health treatment.

It's not dissimilar to the right wing panic over the ADHD. The panic isn't so much that people are ADHD, it's that we can't beat the ADHD out of them by punishing them more: this is exactly what they want to do to trans people too: make trans existence hard enough that people choose cisness.

autism was mega stigmatized and now autism is noticeably less stigmatized by comparison to how it was perceived before This is one of the major reasons that more people are publicly discussing being autistic nowadays

A thread of good points. I see the focus on late dx’d autistic folks coming from a place of “we literally cannot ignore these people like we do for folks w/ID,” but that doesn’t change the fact that the latter group is ignored. I’d love to be part of a movement of asd folks offering help (1/2)

I've recently been doing some reading about autism from disability scholars, and one of the biggest failures, IMO, is the relative erasure of high support needs autistics from the discourse. While this is generally a fairly well known problem, the issue is that parents become the spokespeople.

Three years ago, our reporter received an envelope with no return address. Inside was a flash drive containing tens of thousands of files: years of secretly recorded conversations, private militia chat logs and videos sent by a man named John Williams. (Published Jan. 2025)

Very true for several women I know, and for myself as a guy whose ADHD symptoms more closely align with those found in women. Very fun to have practitioners still out there side eyeing me for not having the stereotypical male ADHD presentation.

For decades, ADHD was viewed as a childhood condition that mostly affected boys. Researchers now know ADHD manifests differently in girls, but many still go undiagnosed until adulthood.

“This constituted a Change of Plans (derogatory)” All CoPs Are Bastards, but watching train delays omw home eating away at what little time I get with my wife, dogs, and other hobbies gets my whole body tense in a way few other things can

An autistic man’s train journey has unexpectedly changed, leading to the sort of ironic suffering normally reserved for an episode of The Twilight Zone, sources have revealed.

The amygdala has a role in emotional and behavioral control. It's possible that the lesion inhibited his control, and following decades of deep trauma, he had a reaction that was horribly destructive. It raises philosophical questions about the organic brain impacting who we are as people.

it’s never a great sign for your society when all the competent people who believe in doing a good job for the sake of it conclude that they’re actively being punished for these qualities, while malignantly stupid criminals are making bank

Despite all the accusations of crimes and cover-ups, the Trump admin has never actually prosecuted or jailed anyone. The supposed stolen 2020 election, Jan 6 deep state, Dr Fauci, etc. All of its is just theater for the base, revving them up. In the end, will undermine faith in gov and institutions.

correct they view words as a tool to be applied as necessary to achieve their end goal (power and money) and good faith does not register as a real concept to them, which is why you see them pivot in lockstep to the new party line and why they seem so confused by genuine showings of principle

More generally, there are no good-faith conservative arguments at all. Zero. None. They are never well-meaning but misguided, they are never bringing up legitimate concerns, they are never Just Asking Questions.
