We can barely produce enough GPs for the healthcare system so you think that'd behoove us to recognize foreign credentials from more countries than whatever we're doing now (along with all the issues that Canadian medical students going abroad face bc we don't have enough seats for them)

Express Entry has shifted so far right over the past several years that to even get into the selection pool for most professions, you need past work experience in Canada and a diploma from a Canadian university. It’s a big bummer because Canada is truly one of the greatest places on the planet.

4/ Sooo... because of an ideologically zealous government...we struggle to get people who WANT treatment through the front door, while spending hundreds of millions in taxpayer funding to build locked doors for those who don’t.

Rebel News is selling shirts that question the existence of suspected unmarked graves at former residential schools. Jennifer Laewetz says it feels like it’s meant to provoke people ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Truth & Politics: youtu.be/8WUJmfIpAfg

I've seen everyone sharing that US Dialect Quiz so I decided to make my own, much crappier, CANADIAN DIALECT QUIZ to guess where in Canada you're from

A flow chart I have created with multiple questions and the answers determine where you're from.

Question 1 is do you call it a hydro bill (which then branches down to ON, QC, BC, MB) or an electric bill (which then branches down to SK, AB, NS, NB, PEI, NL)

Question 2 is do you call it a cabin (BC, MB, AB, SK) cottage (ON and atlantic) camp (northern Ontario) chalet (QC) or bungalow (Cape Breton)

To delineate BC from MB: do you call it dinner or supper

To delineate southern Ontario rural or big city: have you heard of a stag & doe

To delineate SK from AB: do you call a hoodie a bunnyhug

And finally to delineate NL from the other atlantic provinces: whaddayat? (Correct answer: dis is it b'y)

Pls support @nationalobserver.com if you can. It's doing really important investigative work. "According to Patrick McCurdy, a researcher at the University of Ottawa, shaping what AI chatbots tell voters is rapidly becoming “the next terrain of influence” in society." #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

It remains unclear who is behind the campaign but Canada’s National Observer has uncovered several unexplained connections — including to Let Alberta Decide, the largest third-party advertiser for independence in the referendum, as well as multiple individuals in Florida.

None claimed any knowledge of websites related to the campaign, yet several sites were taken down after contact to those individuals and groups by Canada’s National Observer.

New investigation from me. The 23 websites are designed to influence the answers that AI chatbots give to voters in Alberta, targeting farmers, young people, veterans, mothers and oil industry workers. www.nationalobserver.com/2026/09/04/i...

This week, Danielle Smith launched the her two-tier, American-style healthcare plan. And when an ER doctor shared his concerns about the impacts on patients, Jason Kenney swooped in to mock him. But as I explain, when it came to improving healthcare, Jason, as Premier, fell well short.#abpoli

Announcing non-binding agreements with industry and telling Indigenous & rural communities with concerns about local infrastructure projects "we're the government you can trust us" is probably not a wise approach and is certainly not grounded in strong historical self-awareness

The longer governments and firms frame this only in environmental, economic & sovereignty terms, while ignoring broader public concerns about pace, direction & ethical implications of AI and other digital tech, the more frustrated everyone will become. www.theglobeandmail.com/business/art...

Remember this when people claim changing ownership of energy assets in and of itself is destabilizing and expensive. The private sector facilitates these transactions all the time to rebrand and escape liabilities, exposing their lies and propaganda.

It's so funny to me that I Squared Capital spent two hearings of testimony messaging to City Council they are not Zenith Energy even though they will conduct the same exact operation, announced they will fulfill Zenith's expansion plan, & the ordinance says they are keeping all of Zenith's employees

Not sure how Warren Kinsella generated these search results If you enter “jews” as a search term into PressProgess’ search bar, none of these stories display If you manually search those 3 stories, the word “jews” does not appear there either (nor is this religious group a focus of these stories)

@pressprogress is a site that publishes anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and arguably antisemitic conspiracy theories. It's owned by an
"institute" made up of New Democrats who have worked for Olivia Chow. Here's what I got when I just entered the word "Jews" on their search engine.
