This really isn’t the app that I use for my fitness hobbies, but there is a major Nazi scandal going on in the powerlifting world right now where one of the beastiest (laudatory) women powerlifters in the world (Sonita Muluh) got robbed of a world record squat (over 700lbs) by a spotter

The research on the health effects on chemical relaxers just keep growing and i'm so fucking grateful that my mom refused to let us use them until freshman year of high school and also that they broke off my hair so badly my mom made me stop using them after that year.
A significant number of folks, suffering from the type of chronic fatigue associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Long Covid DON'T sleep all the time. Many of us suffer with chronic, intractable insomnia. Those 'lucky enough' to get what approximates sleep are not rested.
Jimothy is next door to being a guest on Joe Fucking Rogan, all the while disabled adults are on the streets, disabled children are having their few supports stripped left, right & centre creating the next class of homeless folks to exploit through social work & incarceration. #WearAMask
The way ‘pacing’ is being framed is dangerously close to ‘self care’ Sometimes symptoms can be managed, sometimes they can’t. No amount of pacing will help if digesting food requires more energy than your body can produce. This is an illness, not a mindset. #MECFS #LongCovid

I am an officially scroll down to the bottom of a thread & like from the bottom up so I don’t get caught supporting, folks sliding in ‘lil’ phobias or isms near the end of the rant, or ‘rational’ argument where it looked they might make some kinda sense at some point but they’re just slick bigots.

With the possible exception of home health aide most these careers are just different versions or extensions of the cops. Might as well throw social workers into the fray.
My idea would be that the next time people want to support a working class candidate for public office, we look for someone like a nurse or a public school teacher or a home health aide or a nice HR lady. And ideally someone with a track record of commitment to organized left politics.
Have a procedure Monday morning that requires a prophylactic antibiotic Sunday. Tell me how I spent most of yesterday & today trying to get through to the doctor’s office & various pharmacies to track down the needed prescription which I was told was sent last week. Boo.
