The problem with Ambient Music is that for most people, granular samples or synth pads washed in reverb are too far from normal music to sit unobtrusively in the background. In practice something more like Oasis or late period RHCP calls less attention to itself and in that way is much more ambient.

The guy who named walkie talkies should've named more stuff. We should have forced him to do that. "Name trees now, what are trees called," we should've yelled at him as he cowered in fear

A key event in Summer's career - and one that unlocked a new phase in the life of disco music - was a meeting with Giorgio Moroder and a visit to his famous Musicland studios on Arabellastraße s in Munich.
Moroder had moved to the city from Berlin to be closer to his mother (who lived just over the Italian border), and hed established a creative partnership there with the British songwriter and lyricist Pete Bellotte.
The pair were making a concept album called I Remember Yesterday, based on Anthony Powell's series of twelve novels A Dance to the Music of Time, which follows the lives of a group of friends between 1921 and
1971. Inspired by Powell's concept, each song on the album was to correspond stylistically to a different decade in the twentieth century, and the last track was to sound like the future.
'I Feel Love' was to be that final 'futuristic song and, in an incredibly fitting and mystical way, the lyrics were written in the same evening that
