Like the stuff you like and let others do the same. Big 😘 to all the wonderful dramas that make me happy. 🔞 A grown-up in real life. She/her.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

If you didn't get to see #Shine when it aired, it's now on Netflix, so hopefully it'll reach a wider audience. It's beautiful and heartbreaking, but also has a lot of hope and love. Some scenes that are hard to watch and one in particular that wrecked me. www.netflix.com/us/title/829...

"For our own survival, we’ve learnt to normalise feeling unwell. We measure our symptoms not against the healthy body, but against its worst potential...and we tell ourselves that this is ok, really. We can live with this." When being content with merely surviving is its own survival mechanism.

A Life Hidden has published another excellent piece that covers an aspect of living with ##MyalgicEncephalomyelitis that is seldom discussed. alifehidden.com/2026/07/30/b...

to be clear the issue with AI writing is not only that it’s bad, it’s specifically that it isn’t made by humans, therefore it has no value. nobody is watching two AIs play chess against each other even though computers are better than humans at chess. IT’S BECAUSE WE DON’T CARE.

To every trans Londoner: this city is yours too. Today we celebrate London Trans+ Pride and reaffirm a simple truth: you should be free to live as yourself, without fear or prejudice. You are loved. You are wanted. You belong here.

Just started watching a new BL - #ServantPrince - and within 3 mins one character has made the other character lick his feet clean, and within 9 mins we find out that, as adults, the foot licker has now become a sex slave. 🤯🤯 The world may be going to hell, but at least BL is going there faster!

Why is my Gaga app not giving me any subtitles? I’ve tried toggling them on and off, rebooting the app, going into different shows, etc multiple times and nothing works. No subs on anything for me today. Not fair! I wanted my BL time and it’s being withheld from me. 😭😭

Funny Graceland sendup but what makes this A+ is its spoof of broader trends: 80s boomer-pop's Scramble for Africa (Simon, Byrne et al) AND the Magical Negro theme that ran thru such period pieces as U2's Rattle & Hum, Billy Joel's "River of Dreams," &—of course, supremely—TOTO I bless the rains...

Even if you train an LLM just on fully validated, peer reviewed texts the LLM _will_ still generate fabrications. LLMs are _language_ models, not _knowledge models_.

Anyone who’s ever read and liked Pride and Prejudice, drop what you’re doing right now and read the thread I just reposted. It is *chef’s kiss* 👌 everything you’ve ever wanted in a book read-along thread 🧵. Enjoy enjoy enjoy!!

I’m so embarrassed that I started this book like, “UGH a canon text, let’s see what’s the fuss,” and now I’m quietly weeping with joy to myself and filled with goodwill and optimism toward humanity and its capacity to love. How dare you, Jane Austen!!!
