So old that the floor is a foreign country. Eternal optimist, one day we will discover a cure for religion. Politically between Karl and Groucho. Ambitious- I will do such things – what they are, yet I know not: but they shall be the terrors of the earth.

Scum. 'Rupert Lowe told Joe Rogan, the world’s most popular podcaster, handguns were banned "because there was a murder up in Dunblane". Rogan asks: "One murder?" Lowe replies: "One murder." 16 children aged 5 & 6 and their teacher were killed by Thomas Hamilton.' www.standard.co.uk/news/politic...

Rupert Lowe sparks outrage with comments on Dunblane massacre

The Restore leader incorrectly told the world’s biggest podcaster there was just ‘one murder’ during the school massacre in which 16 children died.

This is flat wrong from Unite. It’s just not true there’s been ‘almost no thought for jobs, skills and national security’. There’s been a huge amount of thought on all these issues and a decision has been made that jobs, skills, and security all benefit from a faster clean energy transition.

A shirtless white man, in the street with a knife in his hand, having attacked and wounded five people, allegedly shouting anti-Muslim slogans is the sixth story on the BBC UK news page. There is absolutely no doubt at all this would be the lead story if attacker and intended victims were reversed.

Men are using Meta AI glasses to secretly film women at beaches, shops, on the street & on nights out. They then post these clips online where they receive a barrage of misogynistic abuse. I’m campaigning to make this behaviour an offence. Women deserve to feel safe in public spaces.

Smart glasses are 'an invasion of privacy' - Meta's are selling better than ever

The biggest tech firms are set to sell millions of smart glasses despite growing privacy concerns.

For the energy experts. Could we have a strategy of the UK govt buying end of life CCGT power stations and converting to open cycle just to use as as peaker plants? Would avoid the v high payments to private generators.

I'm just relieved nobody is talking about how I said I bought a house in Clacton, then admitted it was in the name of my girlfriend, Laure Ferrari, even though she couldn't afford £885,000, which conveniently meant I avoided £44,000 in tax. Please don't share.

OK, I will admit it. I am deeply in touch with my inner anorak. So, I went down the whole EV, solar panel, battery route a some years ago. I liked the saving the planet schtick but mainly because - wow, endless fun with spreadsheets. Daily records of insolation, house electricity usage, yada yada.

Last Saturday, Trump took it upon himself to break the global economy and bring WW3 much closer. Feels like a month ago based on the firehose of bad news since then.

Years ago (before Epstein, before the GFC, etc) I used to jokingly talk about my pet conspiracy theory, that the world was ruled by the P7: the Pale Patriarchal Plutocratic Protestant Penis-People of Power. Turns out I was right. I didn't want to be right …
