Just zis guy, you know?

The proto-Effin’ Birds was my Tumblr “Swear Trek”. It opened a lot of doors for me and I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I don’t have plans to revive it (one daily comic is enough work), just wanted to thank it for getting me here on this 60th anniversary of Star Trek.

you ever just sit down and translate regular english to kirby new gods speak >>> "We can't all write like Kirby—but we can TRY!! Take a SEAT! Pick up the PEN! Turn your 'MODERN THOUGHTS' into the speech of 'ANOTHER WORLD'!" omfg should I start a thread lmao

Pretty much everything by T Kingfisher The NeoG series by K B Wagers Murderbot by Martha Wells is great, as is Witch King/Queen Demon Machineries of Empire by Yoon Ha Lee (who is a transman, but I'm putting him here anyway because transmen need more representation)

Date: What do you do? Me: I'm a kleptozoologist Date: Isn't it cryptozoologist? Me, stuffing my pockets with lobsters from the tank: that's a common misconception

Movie review: "the laughable idea that this is taking place 50 years in the future instead of 500, combined with the very on the nose symbolism of taking place on America's 250th anniversary makes this a trite and ridiculous farce of a movie. Completely unbelievable. Save your money. 1/5 stars"

"The year is twenty-twenty-six. A fascist government controls the United States, as corporations powered by vast artificial intelligence data centers pollute the skies and millions struggle to survive" feels like a bad sci-fi movie from the 1980s. All it's missing are motorcycle punks and lasers.
