I fundamentally do not know how to square the politics whereby Democrats will essentially have to tell the American people that because they (the voters) made an extremely stupid decision, they need to lower their expectations substantially for the foreseeable future, but here we are.

Like, genuinely, I will judge your electoral judgement if you think a candidate who is doing great in college towns but not with Black urban voters is an equally strong candidate in a general election anywhere.

I think what the evidence actually points to is that the Democratic Party is a big tent with people who disagree about basic policy issues. What unites them is opposition to the conservative view of the world. And they only win when the people in the tent all realize that.

I think it's both true that Israel is a colonial project that continues to engage in colonialism and that Israeli identity is in fact a real thing. The notion that without Israel all the Israelis would embrace their true wholesome identity as Europeans or Arabs or whatever is complete lunacy

Saw a fight on here between someone uncommitted for a Dem nominee because they were on Uncommitted and a committed supporter of the Uncommitted candidate getting mad at them for being uncommitted to the Uncommitted candidate because only an entitled brat would say they're uncommitted. My observation, especially in the last year, is that the real insidious thing isn’t even the rise of outrageously obvious antisemitism. It’s the complete refusal by many on the left to call it out or do anything about it. After over a decade of calling out every kind of niche reactionaryism.
