E moves into supported living full time today His brother is (hopefully) off to Uni in September Whilst both will come back to visit, it’s just occurred to me that there’s a reasonable chance I’ve just had the last night with all of my kids under the same roof

This is fun and makes me realise how many of the poorer MCU films are also the more recent ones This is how I rank the Marvel movies I've seen. How do you rank them? marvelrank.lovable.app?list=eg.nwh....

My kids have been binge watching all the Marvel movies before we go to see Spider-Man later. Inevitably there’s been a lot of debate about which film is the best so I made them this little widget to decide once and for all: marvelrank.lovable.app
The genuine nerd question about Covid lockdowns is what could be changed out the policy process so that it would have come to a different outcome. Otherwise it’s just a case of saying ‘now, with perfect hindsight, I’d prefer elected folks had decided something different’. Which is fine, but also 🤷♀️

My entire life I’ve never called it the FIFA World Cup. I’ve always called it the World Cup. Fans don’t give a shit about FIFA. If national teams showed up for a World Cup tournament not held by FIFA we would all watch it. World Cup is the brand. FIFA is nothing.

This statement by UEFA on FIFA attempting to sell off the World Cup gave me goosebumps, what a statement - the beautiful game deserves no less “As so long as Europe has a voice, it will never be for sale.”

A ★★ review of Masters of the Universe (2026)
This so wanted to be a campy Flash Gordon style romp but took itself far too seriously and was way too long Moments where it worked but weirdly uneven

I am no economist but one of the weirdest things about this stage of capitalism is how jobs don't pay enough to live on so we top them up with benefits, meaning tax payers subsidise profits for the already richest in society.
You’re absolutely right. We should not have so many people on SNAP. Because jobs should pay enough FOR PEOPLE TO EAT.
All these journalists just sitting there while Trump goes after one of their own. Spineless cowards. Complete dereliction of your professional responsibility.
Every “journalist” at this dinner should hang their heads in shame.

You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and there’s no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?
Not sure all of this Prog #proms has worked but the King Crimson section was brilliant 21st Century Schizoid Man into Guy Garvey and a slightly damaged looking Gruff Rhys doing I Talk To The Wind into Court of the Crimson King with The Staves and Jane Weaver That’s a lot of my favourite things

I used to be a big gamer Then I had kids As 2 out of 3 kids leave home in the next month, now seems like a good time to see if that PS3 can do more than just look a little sad in the corner of the room
These are increasingly the thoughts I run through when planning a lesson I’m not entirely convinced that all screen time is bad screen time But I do think that it being the default for every lesson makes us lazier as teachers and puts a cap on the learning experience of the children
