The genuine nerd question about Covid lockdowns is what could be changed out the policy process so that it would have come to a different outcome. Otherwise it’s just a case of saying ‘now, with perfect hindsight, I’d prefer elected folks had decided something different’. Which is fine, but also 🤷‍♀️

My entire life I’ve never called it the FIFA World Cup. I’ve always called it the World Cup. Fans don’t give a shit about FIFA. If national teams showed up for a World Cup tournament not held by FIFA we would all watch it. World Cup is the brand. FIFA is nothing.

This statement by UEFA on FIFA attempting to sell off the World Cup gave me goosebumps, what a statement - the beautiful game deserves no less “As so long as Europe has a voice, it will never be for sale.”

Not sure all of this Prog #proms has worked but the King Crimson section was brilliant 21st Century Schizoid Man into Guy Garvey and a slightly damaged looking Gruff Rhys doing I Talk To The Wind into Court of the Crimson King with The Staves and Jane Weaver That’s a lot of my favourite things

These are increasingly the thoughts I run through when planning a lesson I’m not entirely convinced that all screen time is bad screen time But I do think that it being the default for every lesson makes us lazier as teachers and puts a cap on the learning experience of the children
