Sorry but ~1/3 a pizza per person is quite modest for a party. Don't see what the problem is here (other than it's dominoes so it's not really pizza)
ordering Domino’s and then blaming ChatGPT when nobody wants it

I always like that Aphrodite chose the blacksmith with the life-altering injury 🥺
"For instance, the Odyssey is the only surviving Greek literary work from the Archaic Period that describes a marriage between Aphrodite and Hephaistos; every other surviving source from this period takes for granted that Aphrodite is unmarried." I did not know this
Solar eclipse coming up so here’s one of my favourite maps
Me seeing the Manchester United Da's reacting to the appointment of Eva Olid having watched the Horny Hearts Da's do likewise a few years ago.... 😣🙄
Badenoch's two biggest flaws are that she's nowhere near as smart as she thinks she is and is incapable of admitting error. Both well illustrated by this fiasco.
Joshua Bonehill-Paine steps back from being a Conservative council candidate following backlash
for the first time in two and a half years, a new note was played in this organ performance today!
genuinely why doesn't Google Maps have a setting you can tick that says "I will not in fact die on the spot if I have to walk for over 20 minutes and would prefer a walk and a tube to somehow seventeen buses"
Hahaha, congrats to you both for finally getting the telegraph to talk about their good pal's wife beating and self confessed paedophilia, if only in a tearful rage at how uncivil it is to mention it
Re-upping this, mainly because I want to dive in to 13 & 19 and completely eviscerate popular books

It’s good to apologise. Ben made a mistake, has retracted his previous comments and has said sorry. In my book, that’s a good thing, and we should forgive people who make mistakes and apologise.
Apologies: I’m not online much, I haven't paid any attention to Rod Liddle for a long time, I didn't really know his extremes. I do now: I wouldn’t have posted if I'd known. I’ve seen death of difficult people up close (and its impact on others): that’s the only reason it was on my mind as an issue.
Jail. Them. All. Throw the fucking book at them. Get them explain to publicly their mothers and children why they think it's acceptable to attack and intimidate council workers
Ex-PM Starmer said, in response to Raise the Colours terrorising people, ‘I am supporter of flags’, ‘I’m very encouraging of flags. I think they’re patriotic and I think they’re a great symbol of our nation’ and his family had ‘got St George’s flag in our flat’ www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...
Amazing how this article about what could be done to improve the hideously overcrowded train service not once mentions the thing being built right now to do exactly that. Aka, HS2. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...
A rail nightmare: what it’s like on England’s busiest commuter-only train
This evening service from London to Crewe is hot, sweaty and heaving with people, many having to stand or sit in the gangways

Earlier iteration of this is also that when Pro Evolution Soccer had markedly better gameplay, people were willing to trade that off against being forced to play with the North London Lilywhites and players such as Doltra, Pone Joels, and Pomatski
the funny thing is that it has already been proven football fans have no attachment to the 'FIFA' brand. When FIFA tried to charge EA even more money to use it for their iconic game series, EA dropped the license entirely and renamed the games. And 'FIFA' fans still happily bought it.

It's no surprise I disagreed with his opinions, but he was actually that bad at writing that it was painfully clear that anyone who liked his work simply agreed with those opinions - or hated the people they'd annoy - and thus found it perfectly delicious someone had finally typed them up.
When It Happens there is going to be such a shower of bullshit about what is acceptable public discourse, when absolutely none of that courtesy will be extended in the other direction.
I know they're slightly too green even for me, but Mamdani is quite correct to be buying the green ones if in bulk
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
I'm not saying that some running influencers/wannabe influencers are running away* from their problems, have an obvious addictive personality streak, or are masking issues.... But..... *Obviously, as a runner myself, this is a legitimate tactic
Aside from her views, she is simply not very bright

I was about to do the washing up when I came across this email from the economist and decided to read it instead.
It's in the guardian, so I assume the answer is "UPF"
‘I spent a week crying. I’ve never had an injury in my life!’ Why do so many fitness fans end up needing surgery?
The Freemantle case is a real eye-opener. She not only secured the dropping of the original case, but the almost total deletion of all online references to it, any photograph of her, or their home etc. All that has now rebounded spectacularly. (Daily Mail archived article) https://archive.is/1N6SC
