Books, TV, & cheap wine. Support animal to many. No patience for bigots. I swear a lot. Angry more often than not lately. Treaty One Territory (Manitoba)
Got woken up just after 7:00 by a call from the care home. Crisis has passed, but nothing like a phone call outside of normal hours to get your heart racing before you've even opened your eyes.

“Before I share Friday Arboretum walkies, first I will break bluesky: it’s Pan Pan the Pomsky!”
I moved these clowns to spam, but this one was worth checking out. The Oval Office lapdog is desperate! Now don't let him get away with it. Infantino has to go. (Had to go 2+ years ago tbf.)
The struggle is real. I used to read every spare moment I had. Now I struggle to find time alone when I'm not too tired to get through a chapter. Maybe I should try audiobooks. The Current with Matt Galloway: Kids need to read for fun. Here's why www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...

For #FindsFriday a richly decorated elk antler, interpreted as a shield, dated to the late 10th/ early 11th C. Supposedly from Louis the Pious's memorial chapel in Metz, but dating from long after his death in 840. Picture mine, from Het jaar 1000 (Leiden) now in Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam
Google is offering a monthly "deal" for Gemini.... How about a rate to never see another AI prompt or product ever again?
I've said it before, but one of the reasons I lost interest in sport is the commercialization of it. When the *only* goal is to make millions, while any "sportsmanship" is lost (ie. cheating, trying to hurt your opponent, pretending you've been hurt, hazing), it repulses me.

every once in a while a nice author friend from Canada reaches a point where they have to ask their nice author friend in the US why their readers are trying to shove dollar bills up their noses, and I have to give them The Most Depressing Talk Ever
@mostlybree.kitrocha.com explained it to me when I got sick a few years ago bc I couldn't understand why everyone was offering to run my gofundme.

Decided to go for a run at 23:00 and was greeted by moonrise just after sunset. Northern Norway in summer is pretty awesome.
Held captive for Four. Years. Thank goodness she was found… or did she escape? Strange police response. They didn’t think she was “trafficked”, so they didn’t think she was kidnapped???
15-year-old Joniah Walker took an Uber from Milwaukee to Chicago to meet a man who she’d been communicating with online for several years. Investigators say he had been holding her captive in Virginia ever since.
Spent hours on the road again today to see an old soul smile. It’s been a busy week. Putting pj’s on at 7:00 pm is warranted.
This is Fenrir. He has not yet been successful in cuddling with the cat. But thinks if he goes slow enough she might not notice. 13/10 (IG: fenrirfanclub)
Halfway in his walk to work, Hubby says he's passed about a dozen downed trees so far. My garden is miraculously unscathed, yay!
Ours just came back on after 12 hours. Well done MB Hydro crews! What a storm.
Storm update: We’ve restored power to around 10,000 customers and continue to work safely to restore power as soon as possible. (1/2)
I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.
The "Culture of Comparison" indeed. Kids' birthday parties were already getting stupid 20 years ago. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Kids' birthday parties are getting more expensive. Some parents are now asking for cash tips | CBC News
Many argue you shouldn't throw a party if you can't afford it, while others defend the practice given costs for everything are skyrocketing. But when did the expectations for children's parties get so...
